I bet no one's going to read these 2 posts, and the things I forgot to mention I've mentioned on AIM, in Facebook posts, or in e-mails, so at least for the time being, I'm done?

In other news, this entry was so long that I had to break it into 2 separate parts. D:

I only blogged about one day. I wish I had a laptop back then, because I have random hotel notepad sheets filled with my thoughts about that trip somewhere in my room. Too bad I'm too lazy to find those sheets.
What I do recall:
Riding the Maglev was amazing. I wish I did it again this time.
I LOVED the shrimp.
I loved playing with live shrimp dipped in alcohol.
Tsingtao beer tasted pretty good.
My second cousin was really cool!
China was hot. I hated going on the tours, and the restrooms were disgusting.
Beggars were everywhere. It was bad enough to have nightmares.
When we came back from Suzhou, the taxis weren't running, so my parents found some strangers with a large enough car for our luggage to take us home. That was so scary! Because they noticed my parents had 2 children, and they, I guess, weren't very educated, so they thought we weren't from Shanghai, but they didn't know we were US citizens, so they asked my parents how they managed to raise a second child and find schooling for my brother. I was really scared! x_x I didn't speak during the entire trip. D:
I liked the photos of the lotus flowers I took.
My cousin gave me this CCS tarot card set.
I bought the cutest pencil case at this bootleg-filled street.
I also bought some really cute Hello Kitty calculators... and some bootleg anime and other merchandise. x_X. *cough*
Clothing/watch/etc. shopping
I bought a gorgeous pearl necklace, but I was totally ripped off.
My mom bought a jade bracelet, but she also paid maybe 5 times the price she should have.
Stepping out of the plane at Beijing at 4 in the morning was torture.
Touring in the parks with temperatures reaching over 40 degrees celsius made me feel faint.
Every time I go to China, I have one big cry-fest. I like my great aunts and great uncles.
We went to this awesome cave in Suzhou. It was so cool! The rainy weather made the stay more bearable.
Even though we were on the 14th floor of my aunt's apartment, I still got many mosquito bites. And the scars didn't go away for half a year.
I liked Pudong, and I still remember trying Starbucks for the first time. I got a free shot glass. Haha.
Nanjing Road was fun.
And I remember meeting my mom's friends and teachers. My mom's teacher took a wine bottle from the room, thinking it was free.
And we had a 3-table party and a really nice restaurant on the last day.
We ate a lot in China, with our family, and the food was pretty cheap!
We went to a karaoke bar too! First time!
I guess visiting the Summer Palace was pretty interesting, and my cousin took us around Shanghai...
The Great Wall was nice. I hated how the steps were uneven. Going down was pretty scary.
I liked the Long Jing cha.
And the acrobatics were entertaining (it helped that it was indoors).
Oh! I remember watching Wimbledon, and I think they announced London 2012 Olympics at the time. I also watched NHK, which I thought was pretty cool.
